Our medical suite, which features an overnight sleep lab fully accredited by the American Association of Sleep Medicine (AASM), provides the following types of treatment:
Our board-certified and fellowship-trained medical staff members have decades of experience in treating respiratory illnesses ranging from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) to lung cancer. With each patient, we begin with pulmonary disease testing to make an accurate diagnosis, which may include the following:
- Allergy testing
- Cardiopulmonary stress test (CPST)
- Home oxygen certification
- Pulmonary function test
- Six-minute walk
Then, our team will devise a personalized pulmonary disease care plan that includes one or more of the following modalities:
- Pulmonary rehabilitation programs
- Home nebulizers
From insomnia to obstructive sleep apnea, our medical team treats an array of sleep disorders to help our patients regain a higher quality of life – and get some shut-eye. To test for sleep disorders and make a correct diagnosis, we have patients participate in a sleep study, which can take place either at home or at our sleep lab. We’ll then recommend one or a combination of the following sleep disorder treatments:
- Mandibular advancement devices
- Positive airway pressure (PAP) via CPAP and BiPAP therapy
- Medical therapies to treat a variety of sleep disorders
- Referral to a board-certified ENT specialist for surgical treatment options
- Referral to a psychologist who specializes in treating insomnia with cognitive behavioral therapy
We also provide setup sessions for equipment with a respiratory therapist to help patients improve compliance and the device’s efficiency, as well as education and mask fittings when needed.
For patients living with asthma and/or allergies, our team is here to help them find relief. Through asthma and allergy testing, we diagnose the patient’s condition by administering blood or scratch tests, which determine whether there are sensitivities to allergens that may result in an asthmatic response. Once the patient is diagnosed, their asthma and allergy care may include:
- Antihistamines and/or decongestants
- Injections such as Xolair, Nucala, Dupixent, or Fasenra
- Anticholinergic nasal sprays
- Leukotriene or mast cell inhibitors
- Steroid nasal sprays
